As bombs fall on Iran, Congressional candidate Donna Miller stays mum
CHICAGO (Wednesday, March 4, 2026)--Four days after Donald Trump launched an illegal war against Iran, and with at least six U.S. service members dead, 2nd Congressional District candidate Donna Miller has yet to post any statement on any public-facing channel that voters can access. There is no mention of the war or her position on it on any of her government, personal or campaign social media accounts or websites.
Miller’s largest political patron, the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) is explicitly supporting this war. AIPAC’s associated shell PAC, “Affordable Chicago Now!”, has spent $2.4 million in advertising on Miller’s behalf.
“The biggest cheerleader for this war, AIPAC, also happens to be the biggest funder of Commissioner Miller’s campaign. AIPAC is practically jumping for joy as American bombs drop on Iran–even as U.S. and Israeli forces blew up a girl’s elementary school on Saturday and killed at least 175 people. That explains why Donna Miller hasn’t posted so much as a statement, a video, or even a tweet to let the voters know exactly where she stands,” said 2nd District candidate Robert Peters. “Donna Miller doesn’t want to get sideways with the Trump-aligned interests who’ve funded almost her entire campaign. With six American service members dead, the last thing we need is a representative in Congress who stays silent to appease her donors.”
Peters has vocally opposed the war in Iran, and has stated that he would vote in favor of a War Powers Resolution to rein in Trump’s authority if he were in Congress today.
Peters has been endorsed by Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC, JCUA (Jewish Council on Urban Affairs) Votes, JVP (Jewish Voice for Peace) Action, A New Policy PAC, and Working Families Party, among others.
